Shalli Tiba Trek
The highest peak in the vicinity of Shimla, Shalli Tiba is an isolated peak that offers a splendid view of the valley. There’s a Kali temple too at the top. To reach there, we’ll be passing through an ancient trail amongst pine forests and alpine pastures. The trek that takes us to the beautiful peak is steep but provides beautiful view of unforgettable snow covered mountains along Sutlej valley and forest side hills of Shimla, Fagu and narkanda. This trek is heaven for photography enthusiasts and a once in a life time experience.

Shimla- Mashobrad : we will start our journey from Shimla by Jeep by 9 am. There will be breakfast at Mashobra a place surrounded by thick oak and cedar trees and famous for its apple orchards. A jeep/car/bus journey will start to Khatnol, a quaint village among the beautiful fields via Gulthaini , a dirt track positioned at the bottom of the peak.
Gulthaini – Khatnol: it’s a steady climb of approximately an hour and half to Khatnol. We’ll stay for the day at a rest house and lunch will be served. Evening is for exploring the village and the beautiful tracks to some really enthralling points. At night, it is dinner and rest.
Khatnol- Shalli tiba: post breakfast, the climb of 2867meters to Shalli tiba will start early in the morning. It is a three hour climb if you are taking stops in between to soak up the beauty of magnificent imposing peaks in its pure natural form. Though the final climb is a little tough, it is worth as the view from the peak is breathtakingly beautiful. The visit to the temple is a must, as it is believed that the wishes do come true if you visit it. After capturing the view and memories in the camera and lunch, we’ll start the downward trek to Khatnol. From there a jeep will take us to Shimla.
